Reading this book made me feel good. It's great to know that someone is in the thick of it with you. It had me laughing the entire time and I read it in 1 night. Thanks CK for putting your life out there for other moms.
CK brings together a beautiful collection of notes, stories and artwork that depict both the joys and the pitfalls of motherhood. Her quirky vision gives hope to mothers everywhere. And the knowledge that we're all doing it wrong/right. My only small criticism is that I bought the edition and on my it was difficult to appreciate the non text portions of the book; I solved this by reading it on the iPad instead but I wish I had bought the paper copy!
I bought this book for my . It was a great reality check for when I think I might be losing my Mommy mind! It is great to read that somebody else has similar thoughts, feelings, and experiences regarding motherhood. Cindy Kane does a great job of painting those most frustrating moment with humor. I laughed...I cried...it was great!
I thought I was stressed and that this mother gig doesn't come very natural to me. But compared to this woman I'm doing okay. I guess that is the point of this book and why it was recommended to me. Funny at times.
I've been an avid ready of Cindy's blog for a couple of years now. When I caught wind that she was putting out a book I could hardly wait. She truly didn't disappoint. This book is a very quick and easy read that is full of all of those things about motherhood and relationships that no one wants to talk about but we are all going through. Cindy helps us all to find the humor - if we don't laugh we'll cry. I recently recommended it to a friend who called me to yell at me for not warning her that she needed to pee before reading this because she was laughing so hard she almost had an issue. The book is funny because it's honest.
Cindy Cane's book, Bad Mommy Moments, captures your imagination and funny bone right from the start. I laughed...I cried...I IDENTIFIED with the words that crawled off the page into my mommy-heart. Cindy writes in the candid, unaffected way Judy Blume wrote her coming of age book, Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. Be prepared to snort in your coffee as you cuddle up with this great read meant for mommies with...bad moments...or was that bad mommies with moments?
